Welcome to Vela. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Vela mobile application (the "App") and related services. By using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Vela. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App.
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it when it changes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
Vela Pro is a paid auto-renewable subscription offered at the prices listed in the App. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and are governed by their terms. You can cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Free trials (where offered) automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. Promo codes are subject to the terms under which they were issued.

You retain ownership of photos and content you submit. You grant Vela a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and use that content solely to provide the App's features to you. We do not use your photos to train third-party models.
Vela's skin analysis, routine suggestions, ingredient flags, and styling advice are generated by AI models and are for informational purposes only. They are not medical, dermatological, or professional advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns. We make no guarantees about accuracy or results.
Vela may include affiliate links to third-party retailers (e.g. Amazon). If you purchase through these links we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which products we recommend — recommendations are generated by our AI based on your profile.
The App, including its design, code, trademarks, and content we provide, is owned by Vela and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or distribute any part of it without our written permission.
The App integrates with Apple, Google, Supabase, and AI providers. Your use of those services is subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that analysis results will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vela and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account in settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vela is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless a different forum is required by applicable consumer-protection law.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
